Here is the lo-down: We play one set of 80s hair metal/hard rock, one set of 90s grunge/alternative, and one set of todays Nu metal and we dress the part for each set. This band was put together almost 4 years ago, but split up due to some internal problems. Now, we have decided to put it back together and ram it down everybody's throat.
We practice on Tuesday nights in East Canton. We have everything that we need except for you. We just started getting the machine back up and running, so the time is now to get in on it before we really ramp up the set list and you have end up having a ton of catching up to do. No druggies, no big egos, and you must have some sort of transportation - none of us work for Sarta. We are very easy to get along with and expect the same. • Location: East Canton, OH

Hi! I'm a serious conga player/percussionist and singer whose interests include Santana, Los Lobos, Latin funk, the late Tito Puente, rock & roll, etc. I would like to find a lead guitarist and keyboard player to start working on a song list and come up with some original tunes. After that's in place, I'd like to concentrate on getting a drummer & bass player in order to play out.
I live in Stark County, but can travel to Akron, Cleveland, etc. If interested, please put "Musician /help wanted ad" in your subject line so it won't get caught in my spam filter. • Location: Canton, Ohio

I have posted several ads in the past, and have gotten a few responses each time, but every time I do, the person is all into it, then just disappears> So i will make this short and sweet:
I Am: 30 (Looking for people around my age, older or younger) I Am looking for: 2nd guitar (lead, I play rhythm.), melody minded singer, bass player and drummer. What I've done so far: written songs on my own with the aid of a hired gun drummer. Examples are here: www.myspace.com/ether79 I am also open to: suggestion. what you hear on my myspace are just what I came up with on my own. collaboration from other musicians will change things and add to it! My influences are: Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, The Melvins, The Meat Puppets, Foo Fighters, Local music, anything with a good hook. Don't respond if: you're going to talk to me about jamming, getting together, then never call again after a while. you're a drug user, alcoholic, or drama magnet. Want to do a bunch of covers. Do Respond if: You want to get together and write original, melody laden hard rock. (Hard, guitar driven rock with a a gritty vocal but tons of 'hook') Contact me by: responding to this ad, friending me on myspace and sending me a msg, texting me at 216-978-9581 Ok, that wasnt as short as I had planned, but it's direct and to the point. Thanks for reading. Tom • Location: Cuyahoga and surrounding

Only for the serious musician looking for an original band. I am a lead singer and lead guitarist of an original Cleveland band. I have taken the past year off to right and record my first album and I am now looking for the rest of the members to fill the void. I have done all the instruments in the studio but now need to find the right players for this very original project.
I am in looking for the right rhythm guitarist that can keep up and compliment me or vise-versa and the right drummer with a strong heart. I don't want to waste anyone's time or my own. This is my life and I want to find the right guys with the same frame of mind and dream to make this dream a reality. Please check out my website and listen to the first 2 tracks off the album. These songs are in there final stages and they will give you all the information you need to see what I am all about. The music goes from light to heavy instrumentally but is not like other bands out there. Please take a listen and let me know if you think you would like to be a part of this project. And please only serious, serious musicians reply. www.chrisieremiecreations.com www.myspace.com/chrisieremie • Location: Cleveland

Searching for Female vocalist/ writer/ frontwoman for rock project...posted: November 18, 2009, 01:51 PM

I am looking for female vocalist/frontwoman with unique abilities. Ideal candidate would be a ballsy mixture of Belinda Carlisle, Debbie Harry, Neko Case, and Gwen Stefani. You need to have a very strong voice, tons of energy, and not be timid or tame. Under 30 preferred, agressive attitude and stage presence a must. Not looking for a sensitive singer/songwriter church mouse type. Looking for a gal who can make the boys cry and the ladies want to be her. Wouldn't hurt if you could play guitar too, but it's not necessary.
This will not be a corner bar cover band (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not what this project is about). This will be an original project, so marketability is key, and writing ability is a huge plus. I am a writer and arranger, so I will be contributing, as well as holding down guitar duties, but I find singers perform songs better if they have some solid ownership. Influences include- The Ramones, Cheap Trick, The GoGo's, No Doubt, Blink182, and lots more. Big, loud, fast, fun, riff-rock with great melodies and big hooks. Reply to this add for more info. • Location: Cleveland

We are a Journey tribute band in search of a (30ish-40ish age) Drummer. We need a Rock Drummer who can learn quickly. You must be familiar with the music of Journey and be able to get up to speed in short time because, we have gigs scheduled. We have recently undergone a few changes and are retooling. You must have professional gear including drum mics. We have been gigging and will be playing out 2-4 times a month, especially Spring thru Fall. There will be some travel, so owning a PASSPORT is a huge plus or be willing to get one. We are NOT a bar band and we will never do any other cover songs except the music of Journey or Steve Perry's solo stuff. Our set list is always evolving and changed around to suit the needs of the Lead singer. Practices are in Solon every Tuesday at 5:30-6:00pm and run till 7:30-8:00pm. Obviously, if you have drinking or drug issues do not respond. We will be playing Festivals and Fairs as well as other larger venues. Audition songs are DON’T STOP BELIEVIN, KEEP ON RUNNING, and SEPARATE WAYS. So, if you are ready to get in an awesome situation, shoot us an email and tell us about yourself!
Thanx, www.ArrivalBand.com • Location: Solon

T Love - Singer for Disco Inferno, Looking for a Hot Guitar Playerposted: November 13, 2009, 12:37 PM

To be clear, I am not leaving Disco Inferno. However, having two singers gives me some free time... I have been filling that time with other musical projects and am now adding playing out live with a group to do covers and originals.
We already have a great Drummer/Singer/Keyboardist/Programmer, and Bass Player, and I play guitar as well. We are looking for a solid Lead Guitarist who can play a wide range of styles and genres to round out the group. Aside from soon playing out, our current projects include: Movie Soundtrack Development, Original Songs and Music Cues for a TV sitcom pilot and a very serious and exciting 'Conceptual Band' project. This is a far reaching and ongoing recording and soundtrack project that we are working on with my cousin "Cat" (Usher's Studio Manager, and for the last 2 years has been touring with Ne-Yo). We are going to have a great time, make some money, and do something that is somewhat of a musical journey. Serious Calls only, Troy 216-644-6820 • Location: Cleveland

Hey, how are you?, thanks for taking a minute. My name is Mike and I am the singer of a project called OFFTRAXX we are band that likes to play classic concert rock style music. We are into Floyd, The Dead, The Allman Bros., Emerson Lake and Palmer. etc..., we sound fantastic, we just kicked off our first outing last Sat., but we want to go big in the sound department, and we feel that a like minded keyboard player may be what the doctor ordered. We have pro gear, we practice in a studio in Elyria, about 20 min. from Cleveland. We are all easy going guys. If you can assist with harmanies, well your stock just went up, just kidding. If you can sing great, if not, no biggie. Anyway thats whats cooking, and if this sounds like something you get with, give me the high sign. I look forward to hearing from you, this is going to be a special project, we hope you can be apart of it.

We're looking for a talented drummer for a Cleveland cover band. We rehearse in Lakewood. New co-ead singer guitar player is the manager of Liquid downtown and has major gig connections. Band has played the Cleveland "big bar" circuit in 2006 and 2007. Partial songlist is shown below. We are open to suggestions as well. We're holding auditions Tuesday and Wednesday evening this week if you can make it let me know. These are just the songs we salvalged from 2007. We're open to doing some 80's and pop tunes and anything to get the crowd going. We will probably end up nixing some of the "guy songs" below because we find it really doesn't allow the girls to dance and party.
Black Crowes - Remedy Sublime - Don’t Push Georgia Satellites - Hands to Yourself Pearl Jam - Animal Pearl Jam - Corduroy Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give it Away Tom Petty - You Wreck Me Stevie Ray Vaughan - Couldn’t Stand the Weather John Mellencamp - Wild Night Black Crowes - Hard To Handle Radiohead - Creep Social Distortion - Bad Luck Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues Sublime - Doin Time Dramarama - Anything Anything Black Crowes - Jealous Again Social Distortion - Ball & Chain Pearl Jam - Corduroy Sublime - Bad Fish Social Distortion/Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire Red Hot Chili Peppers - Higher Ground Jet - Cold Hard Bitch Jet – Are you gonna be my girl? The Killers – All the Things The Killers - Jenny Was a Friend of Mine Muse - Starlight Bravery - Believe White Stripes - Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground Dave Matthews - Too Much Ben Folds Five – Song for the Dumped • Location: Cleveland

U2 Tribute band forming. This isn't a cover band, but a full tribute. There's going to be a complete stage show, and everything that goes along with faithfully recreating U2's sound.
Must be able to travel, and must either have a passport, or be able to get one. If you can't travel, don't respond. The singer and guitarist have done professional recordings from Philly to Houston, as well as being involved in a lot of classical music and musicals. Both of us have had management stateside as well as internationally. The money for this tribute is beyond stupid. • Location: All Over

FUTURE Grammy STARS Produced by OCTANE-Records-Music.com!
SEATTLE, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Hear the difference at Octane Records with signed Recording Artists that now include the following New Artists: Aziel, Jailbird, HUD, Heath, Mr. Rakafela, Maggot Brain, and Octane featuring Shock G, Humpty Hump (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/rakaoctane1), and Snoop Dogg (http://www.rogueisland.com). Produced By Brent DeRocher for Octane Records. Most people will never forget Aziel for his chart-topping hit "Fall In Love Again." The day it hit KCCN FM 100, Hawaii's premier radio station, it immediately made its way onto the daily "Top 5 at 5," becoming the number-one most requested song for six weeks. Another hit followed - a remake of Stevie Wonder's "Ribbon In The Sky." Listeners couldn't get enough of Aziel's silky R&B voice. Aziel is currently seeking full radio rotation on all mainstream USA radio stations for his album "Take You Away" that features music-writing and production by multi-platinum legendary songwriter LeRoy Martez Bell, and music writer Linton Weems. With several hit songs and "GROUNDBREAKING" industry sound, this project commands a space within the R&B community. Aziel Toeaina, born January 1, 1978 in San Francisco, California, is a musical genius who can switch from his R&B delivery to Hip Hop and Rap, unlike many artists on the market today. Aziel's critics say he may be as good as Usher and Justin Timberlake. Aziel also plans on being a Grammy Nominee and a Grammy Winner in the very near future. Jailbird, born Jeffrey Sayer in 1978 in Olympia, Washington, is destined to be a rap superstar; the kind of superstar that understands a good hook, strong songwriting and the importance of a great performance. Jailbird's critics say he may be as good as Eminem. Jailbird is a Rap Artist that plans on being a Grammy Nominee. HUD was born Anthony Hudson in Memphis, Tennessee in April of 1971. A Rap Artist who loves performing, HUD began entertaining in early 1986 at talent shows. His mother, who fell upon hard times while HUD was young, was a former background singer for the likes of B. B. King and other popular Memphis recording artists and is credited for introducing HUD to the profession of music. Mr. Rakafela, born Alvin E. Kirton III in Oakland, California in July of 1973, was highly influenced in the early 1990s by the success of Tupac Shakur and Shock G from Digital Underground. Being deeply rooted in Tupac and Digital's cliques, Mr. Rakafela developed a Funk/Hip Hop mix which he displays in his latest masterpiece, "Tale of a New Legend" featuring Shock G, Humpty Hump, and Jailbird.
