Want to form a Latin-based band!

Hi! I'm a serious conga player/percussionist and singer whose interests include Santana, Los Lobos, Latin funk, the late Tito Puente, rock & roll, etc. I would like to find a lead guitarist and keyboard player to start working on a song list and come up with some original tunes. After that's in place, I'd like to concentrate on getting a drummer & bass player in order to play out.

I live in Stark County, but can travel to Akron, Cleveland, etc. If interested, please put "Musician /help wanted ad" in your subject line so it won't get caught in my spam filter.

That's right! A chick keyboard player with singing ability and equipment is needed to round out a female fronted classic/modern rock west side based band. The band has top line management and is playing out 2-3 times a month. Age range of the band is 29-51. Must be reliable and have reliable transportation. Experience a plus, but not a must.

Help me hit my Blues/Rock/Funk target

Guitarist 44 with close to 30 years experience (and more energy than most 20 year olds) looks to join forces with other musicians (bass, drum, keys) who love to play music to clubs. We’ll be playing a mix of blues, rock and funk. Think of how it would sound if Stevie Ray Vaughn played in James Brown’s band.

I’m not your typical guitarist. Because:
a). I don’t need to be on 11 to “get my sound”
b). I don’t do drugs, I get high making music.
c). I show up on time and I’m prepared.
d). I have no intention of doing a 12 minute version of “Tore Down”
e) I dont want to string together 20 I-IV-V shuffles and go gig.

I have a name for the band (will tell you later), own the domain, have recording equipment, numerous guitars and a Line 6 amp (no practice space unfortunately). I can sing, design our website, record our demo, and work with you to help us be the best band in Northeast Ohio. I live in Cleveland (Rocky River – West Side) but want to play anywhere there are people and electricity (probably a few times a month). I do not put an age limit on this. If you have the drive, determination, professionalism, and the energy to keep up I want you on my team. I have a two word plan: "Let's Go."

The music will be people like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert Cummings, Black Crowes, Stevie Wonder, ZZ Top, James Brown, Gary Moore, and anything that makes you want to shake your butt. The goal is to have some blues (to play the blues clubs), but be funky enough for people to dance (without being disco), rock enough to attract bikers (but not enough to scare people), and to practice once a week. Eventually we will record some original music and sell CDs, downloads, T-shirts and more (I love marketing).

My dream would be to find a drummer (who could sing back up), a keyboard player (who could sing lead or back up), and a bass player (who could sing lead or back up). To speed up and enhance communication you should be able to download songs we send to each other to learn (so you need to be “Internet/Email Savy”.

P.S. Skynard is not considered “funk.”

I’m ready to kick ass, are you?

Hey, how are you?, thanks for taking a minute. My name is Mike and I am the singer of a project called OFFTRAXX we are band that likes to play classic concert rock style music. We are into Floyd, The Dead, The Allman Bros., Emerson Lake and Palmer. etc..., we sound fantastic, we just kicked off our first outing last Sat., but we want to go big in the sound department, and we feel that a like minded keyboard player may be what the doctor ordered. We have pro gear, we practice in a studio in Elyria, about 20 min. from Cleveland. We are all easy going guys. If you can assist with harmanies, well your stock just went up, just kidding. If you can sing great, if not, no biggie. Anyway thats whats cooking, and if this sounds like something you get with, give me the high sign. I look forward to hearing from you, this is going to be a special project, we hope you can be apart of it.

Experienced keyboard player for a blues, blues/rock, R&B project wanted

Keyboard player, experienced, with a professional attitude, is wanted for a blues, blues/rock, R&B with a touch of funk project with half the show done and getting ready to start into the second half of the show. There will be alot of B3 type organ parts as well as horns and piano so you need to be versatile. Owning multiple keyboards would be a real plus. Must be a quick study as the band is almost ready to start booking shows. I would prefer to be able to hear you play either online or MP3's, but you could send a CD if that's what you have. This is not your average 12 bar blues band so be ready for the punchier blues/rock material. All the material has good arrangements in place. Please include some of your experience as well as samples of you playing, along with your telephone number and best times to be reached.

We are two blues/southern rock guitarists, a drummer and a bass player. We all sing and have professional level chops. We have an extreme amount of professional equipment. We are rehearsing in Orrville at present. (But that could change if you have another place) We are doing Clapton, SRV, ZZ Top, Originals, Allman Bros., Buddy Guy, etc.
So, if you are a keyboard player that is over-the-hill, has pro equipment, loves the blues, can show up for gigs & rehearsals every Friday, is easy to get along with, and wants to be part of something great, send us a message. I'm T.J. at czars76999@mypacks.net
