Female musicians / singers

I am interested in finding other females who just have something to say that they would like to put to music. I play the drums and a little guitar. I'm not interested in people who think they are excellent musicians. You don't have to be great...you don't even have to be really good. You just have to have something to say...Gay/straight/bi...any and all females welcome.

I am most heavily influenced by the Indigo Girls and the beach side of Kenny Chesney...

Searching for Female vocalist/ writer/ frontwoman for rock project...

I am looking for female vocalist/frontwoman with unique abilities. Ideal candidate would be a ballsy mixture of Belinda Carlisle, Debbie Harry, Neko Case, and Gwen Stefani. You need to have a very strong voice, tons of energy, and not be timid or tame. Under 30 preferred, agressive attitude and stage presence a must. Not looking for a sensitive singer/songwriter church mouse type. Looking for a gal who can make the boys cry and the ladies want to be her. Wouldn't hurt if you could play guitar too, but it's not necessary.

This will not be a corner bar cover band (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not what this project is about). This will be an original project, so marketability is key, and writing ability is a huge plus. I am a writer and arranger, so I will be contributing, as well as holding down guitar duties, but I find singers perform songs better if they have some solid ownership.

Influences include- The Ramones, Cheap Trick, The GoGo's, No Doubt, Blink182, and lots more. Big, loud, fast, fun, riff-rock with great melodies and big hooks.

Reply to this add for more info.

looking to form original band

hello, im 28 and play guitar. i'd like to start a band to write and play original music. i don't have a real specific musical direction in mind, but would like it to be as unique and imaginative as possible, but also musically pleasing to listen to. I would like very much to work with a female vocalist (if you are a male vocalist and are reading this please do respond i don't have a dislike for male vocals i would just like there to be some sensitivity in the singing and songwriting that i have not encountered much with male vocalists i have played with so far). also, if you play drums, bass, guitar, keys, or more obscure instruments and would like to explore and attempt to create music that is mysterious and beautiful, edgy and thought provoking, and emotionally charged then please respond.

Bass player needed for Classic Rock Cover Band

We are in need of a good classic rock bass player. Our band has been around for almost 30 years now and we recently lost our bass player. We need someone that loves classic rock covers like: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Heart, Eagles, Bad Company, ACDC, Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, Joe Walsh, etc. We have both male and female vocals, keys, 2 lead guitarists, Drummer, Sax, accustic guitar. We are 6 piece band including the bass player. Great rehearsal atmosphere with lots of room. We are a no drug band, no hangups, no egos, and are all in or around our 40s. We are professionaly equiped to do even large outdoor venues. We are all about the music and NOT about the money. We like to get paid well when we play but the music is number one to us. If you need to play to make a living or even would depend on the extra income for a living this is NOT the band for you. We rehearse once per week in Mentor when we are not playing out. Usually on Saturday evenings. We are family oriented and we are all a fun loving group of guys. Fun is guaranteed with this band.

Seeking: Male & Female/Gospel & Rock Singers (Recording Only)

Hello Fellow Vocalists,

Blues Evolution is recording a second CD, and one of the tunes is a secular but gospel sounding song that is begging for the sound of a large choir. Well, we can’t pull that off, but we can try to simulate a choir by overdubbing a variety of voices singing each part. We would love your involvement.

Our most immediate need is for HIGH SOPRANO. THE HIGHEST NOTE IS HIGH G (an octave plus a 5th above middle C that sits on the space on Top of the treble clef. It is the last note possible that is still connected to the staff before you need ledger lines.) We need someone who can hit most of the notes clustered around High E with confidence, tone and of course accuracy. Finally we want it to have some soul and sound like church.

Although we have lately been focusing on locating a soprano voice, we really need voices in all ranges and with various styles. However, YOU MUST HAVE ACCESS TO a PROTOOLS compatible computerized home recording software system to participate on this recording.

PLEASE GIVE A LISTEN to our Mp3 DEMO of In The Name of the Father by clicking on the link to that song at our web page at the Indaba Music site:

http://www.indabamusic.com/people/579044191

I hope you will take a stab at it and join us. Unfortunately (considering the number of voices needed) THIS IS NOT A PAYING OPPORTUNITY.

I so look forward to hearing from you and all the best with your musical adventure.

Yes!
Quinn
