Hi! I'm a serious conga player/percussionist and singer whose interests include Santana, Los Lobos, Latin funk, the late Tito Puente, rock & roll, etc. I would like to find a lead guitarist and keyboard player to start working on a song list and come up with some original tunes. LRR Recording Studio is located in Munroe Falls, Ohio, just outside of Akron. It is owned and operated by recording engineer Clint Covey.

Clint started LRR (Lightning Rock Records) as a project studio and record label in 2006, and has since recorded over 100 artists, growing the studio to its current 1800 square foot commercial facility. During his recording career, Clint recorded "Instances of Shame" for Nicholas Megalis which was featured on MTV's 'The Real World', worked with rock producer legend Ed Stasium (produced the Ramones) to record The Shuteye Train "Rock and Roll With...", and even took a band to record with the infamous Steve Albini (recorded Nirvana "In Utero") to learn recording techniques from one of the most respected engineers in the business. Also, Clint recently recorded the debut EP for Simeon Soul Charger, a band which is causing quite a stir regionally and receiving regular airplay.

The recording process with engineer Clint Covey is unique for this day and age. His recording philosophy is based around the idea of capturing the artist as they sound. Bands recording with Clint usually track as live as possible without click tracks, capturing the raw energy of the band and the feel of the live performance. Most importantly, Clint understands that the musician’s opinion is the most important opinion in the studio. After all, it is the client's music which is being recorded, and the client's intent should always be honored first and foremost. LRR's motto is "Your Music. Your Sound."

I’m into some heavy stuff like Meshuggah, Blotted Science, and Animals as Leaders as well as some traditional progressive stuff like old Genesis, King Crimson, and Porcupine Tree. There are many others but this will give you an idea (if you know who they are). I would probably play guitar, but could play bass if it would be a better compliment to the project.

My name is Gerald Braden, full name Gerald Wilhelm Braden, or Gary Braden (all this is for google search info), as my friends know me. I play with a local band in Northeast Ohio called "Heart & Soul", but I am always looking for fill-in work on the nights that I am not booked with my band. I'm a pianist and composer of classical music, and also a pro keyboardist and guitarist. After earning my living as a studio musician and playing pop/rock music for most of my adult life, I moved back to Ohio to sort of "semi-retire" (play 2-3 nights a week), instead of playing full time, so that I can have more time to concentrate on my classical compositions. The majority of my pieces at this point are for the piano, but I am also composing chamber music, and have been working on my first full Symphony. I have been very fortunate to have a few of my pieces performed by professional orchestra chamber musicians in the last few years, and I'm confident that these performances of my works will grow more frequent as I make myself known to others.
