11/8/09 Samurai Sword Technique (Iaido) Course #7521
A seminar for anyone interested in authentic Japanese sword technique. Practice exciting kumitachi (2-person sword training), suburi (overhead cut), kiritsuke (draw & cut), noto (sheathing sword), valuable training drills, and the Zen Nihon Seitei Gata (All-Japan Sword Forms). Learn about the advantages and disadvantages of different types of swords. Witness little-known sword arts of Omori-Ryu, TsumeAi, and Mutodori (sword-disarming techniques). Instructor trained with Masters Higuchi (7th Dan), Kaminoda (9th Dan), and Kuroda (9th Dan). A bokken (wooden sword) is required (available at reduced price). A limited number of katana (samurai sword with scabbard) will also be available for rental or purchase during the seminar.
