Lubrizol Skin Essentials currently has an opportunity available for a Technician specializing in Dermal Systems product development to join the R and D team. At Lubrizol's Skin Essentials Polymers business. Through a combination of right chemistry, market knowledge and passion for excellence, we deliver innovative solutions to the healthcare industry : ultimately improving lives. Our growing business focuses on the application of polymers in Transdermal Delivery Systems as well as drug delivery systems/ pharmaceutical excipients. The position islocated at our Brecksville, Ohio facility.
The Technician is expected to perform laboratory experiments with limited supervision in characterizing performance of Lubrizol products in dermal applications. The Technician will be expected to set up, conduct, record and report his/her results and work in collaboration with Lubrizol Scientists and be a contributing member of the Dermal Systems team.
to perform interdisciplinary exploratory research in dressing design and interactions of polymers in wound environments.
:Conduct laboratory experiments in the application of polymers to pharmaceutical dermal formulations
:Preparation and testing of Dermal Systems formulations
:Handle pharmaceutical active and complex formulations
:Organize, document and analyze experimental data and communicate results both verbally and in writing
:Make presentations to the core group and management
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
:Bachelors in chemistry, biology, or polymer engineering
:Strong research laboratory skills
