Job Description
Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting data development, pricing analysis and quantifying the impact of various benefit designs on client utilization and costs. This position has no direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
:Derive and build financial models based on internal departments and client requests to develop and improve business strategies
:Develop cost analysis for new and existing clients to demonstrate the savings opportunities available
:Analyze savings from network discounts, rebates, formulary, and benefit design to determine client savings and risk to company
:Understand benefit designs and adjust analyses as necessary based on clients customized plans
:Effectively communicate complex pharmacy benefit claims processing issues, challenges and occurrences to both internal and external clients
:Analyze claim development, trend and anomalies in utilization for insurance clients
:Create and build financial reporting as required by government entities for insurance clients
:Maintain and write customized data:mining queries that produce meaningful and actionable results within recurring reports utilized by senior staff members, executives, client services and clients
:Provide consultation to clients and peers regarding trends, forecasting and future planning
:Participate in development and implementation of initiatives, as needed, to improve processes and procedures
:Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
:Bachelors degree in business, mathematics, statistical or financial discipline
:Financial and statistical reporting knowledge and experience
:A well:organized and self:directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision.
:An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
:Highly developed analytical skills
:Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
:Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast paced environment
:Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
:Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
:Insurance and/or healthcare claims experience
:Crystal reporting and SQL programming knowledge and experience
:Financial reporting knowledge and experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Includes a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
