The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a full-time Relief Receptionist / Multi-Department Assistant to perform a wide range of administrative, secretarial, clerical and customer service duties. The position will provide front desk and mail room relief in the absence of the primary Receptionist/Relief Receptionist at the Donzella Administration Building. The position will also provide administrative support to multiple departments, as needed. The nature of work for this position will include, but is not limited to, the following:Provide front desk relief in the absence of the Receptionist. Answer switchboard and route all incoming calls to appropriate persons and departments; take messages when necessary. Handle routine questions for staff, parents, and the general public. Greet visitors to the building. Monitor dock and call custodian when needed.Perform mail room duties in the absence of the Mail Clerk. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate individuals. Distribute inter-office mail and process outgoing U.S. mail.Support various CCBDD departments as needed to complete clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, preparing mailings, and maintaining databases.Support the Human Resources Department helping coordinate orientation and preparing orientation packets, assisting with handling paperwork for reference checks, ensuring adequate copies of employee handbooks, collective bargaining agreements and other documents are available for employees and finger printing applicants, volunteers and providers as needed.Process routine administrative tasks as it relates to terms and conditions outlined in various collective bargaining agreements.Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate individuals.Assist with preparation for presentations and events as needed across various departments.Qualifications High school diploma required.Minimum three years of secretarial or office clerical experience.Minimum three years of data entry, word processing and/or computer experienceExcellent keyboard skills.Education in secretarial or business school beyond high school level desirable.Applicants must apply ONLINE at the agencies website and be prepared to upload a detailed cover letter and resume.
