About the Job

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is seeking an Office Services Assistant at their Cleveland location. The essential duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:

1. Travel to local courts and administrative agencies to handle in-person filing of documents with those entities; performs basic research at courts and administrative agencies to obtain required information. Travels to other locations to pick up and deliver documents and files. Ensures timely completion of these tasks.

2. Copy and bind documents, case files or other materials as requested; deliver within stated deadline.

3. Receive and process incoming and outgoing mail through the U. S. Postal Service and interoffice mail. Handle incoming and outgoing package deliveries through various courier services. Ensure timely pickup and delivery of mail and courier packages.

4. Stock offices and catering supplies; ensure adequate supplies are available at all required locations; perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain neatness and cleanliness of stock areas, kitchens, coffee stations, photocopy rooms, printer stations and conference rooms. May place orders for certain items with approved vendors.

5. Set up conference rooms for meetings; may arrange for catering services for meals during conferences.

6. Set up equipment for video and telephone conferences as needed.

7. Operate standard office equipment such as personal computer, copiers, binding equipment, telephone, ten-key calculator.

8. May perform clerical duties required to close files, including preparation of a file inventory, input of data using a personal computer, maintenance of records and moving file materials from one location to another.

9. May perform general maintenance work such as relocation of office equipment, furniture and files and hanging pictures.

10. Move and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and to retrieve and replace items from shelves up to 8 feet high.
