Provides support in medical office to include scheduling patient appointments, functioning as a receptionist to patients and visitors. Preparing and processing patient information, typing, organizing and compiling materials1.Education and Training High school level coursework in English grammar, composition and basic mathematics. 2.Experience One year clerical experience required, medical office experience preferred. 3.Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications *Light typing skills and knowledge of medical terminology required. *Knowledge of specific computer software may be required for designated areas. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to learn new computer systems and retrieve required data. 4.Population Specific Competency The incumbent will have the ability to effectively interact with populations of the patient (and his or her representative) with a sensitivity to the communication needs (other language, deaf or blind) and with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. 5.Commitment to Service Excellence, Coworkers and our Non-negotiable Standards Committed to providing exceptional customer service to our patient and visitors.
